This Labor Day trip stood out from the rest in that it attracted some new members, as well as bringing back older ones that haven't climbed in a while. Especially prominent was our new badass climber Christine, who impressed us with her smooth style time after time.



While Christine and Andy spent their Saturday doing trad, the rest of the boys decided to take a trip to Phantasia. And oh, what a trip it was. First, we drove to the wrong spot and started bushwacking along the rock face and into ravines. Obviously, there was never a chance of finding Phantasia in a place it didn't belong, so we stumbled out of the woods and saw Mo, Bryan, and Double-D driving by. They pointed out that we are complete idiots who can't read or orientate, and gave us proper directions.



Now this seems like a good time to start some climbing, right? Unfortunately, even with proper directions, we managed to get lost bushwacking for an even longer time (mistakenly going left instead of right or right instead of left). After several hours of such entertainment, we finally found Phantasia and did some totally decent sport climbing there.



The last two days were far less eventful, but the things worth pointing out are a devilish 5.8 trad crack, dirty guy, me learning that beta is better than pride, cold clam chowder, and the voodoo chalk bag.
