You can also see the boards poking out of the sump that we used to get the rope through. The sump is not a straight shot through but turns. A free dive would probably get you in over your head, literally.

That is our rope we used to pull the canoe in.

The caver is facing the sumped entrance. Another 30 feet of holding your breath and swimming would get you out of the cave, I would NOT recommend doing that though!
