Although Steph and I decided that we didn't feel like camping out and being all "hardcore" this year, we still felt the need to go and try to climb Mt. Wilson again this year. For those that don't know, Mt. Wilson is the tallest peak in Red Rocks at 7,000 some odd feet. Doesn't sound like much, but it is an extremely challenging hike. The hike goes up a usually dry creek bed up the back side of the mountain, and to say the least the terrain is less than friendly. Unfortunately our efforts were foiled again, as we did not set out early enough. We hiked in for 6 hours before turning around and hiking out in only 3. But it was still a great hike, so enjoy the pictures.
